Learn How To Remove Stress From Your Body

Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is rooted in Chinese Medicine. Tapping with fingertips on the 14 energy pathways puts kinetic energy into our body and is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture. Become familiar with the different tapping points in the chart below. Tapping is done lightly with either hand, using the index and middle finger together.

Repeat as often as you like and notice the symptom or program fade away.

EB: Tap above the eyebrow (near the bridge of the nose)

SE: Tap the bone bordering the outside corner of the eye.

UE: Tap on the bone under the eyes

UN: Tap between the bottom of the nose and the upper lip

Ch: Tap between the chin and the lower lip

CB: Tap on the collarbone

UA: Tap under the arm about 10 cm from the armpit

Th: Tap the outside edge of thumb level with the base of the nail

IF: Tap the side of index finger as with thumb

MF: Tap the side of middle finger…

BF: Tap the side of little finger…

KC: Tap on the edge of the hand where you hit with a karate chop

How It Works

Decide on the issue you would like to address.

It could be physical (sore shoulder), a behavior you would like to change (procrastinating or over-thinking), emotions such as fear, anxiety, anger, stress, or other issues such as memories etc.

Determine the intensity of the issue

On a scale of 1–10, 10 being the highest, determine how intense you feel the issue.

Start Tapping

Step 1: Find the sore spot just below the collarbone and rub in a circular motion and say the following 3 times

“Even though I feel [issue], I deeply love and accept myself”. Feel this as deeply as you can.

e.g. “Even though I feel anger, I deeply love and accept myself”

Step 2: Tap on each of the points in sequence, about 7 times each, stating your issue. e.g. “anger”

Step 3: Check the intensity of the issue, repeat the tapping sequence as many times as you like to reduce the intensity.
