A fun interview with “Bliss Mistress,” Edie Weinstein…

On Monday’s “The Way,” I enjoyed a great conversation with my friend, Edie Weinstein, MSW, LSW, an internationally recognized creative journalist, interviewer, author, speaker, licensed social worker, and interfaith minister.

Edie shared wisdom about attaining bliss and living with grace. Her book, “The Bliss Mistress Guide To Transforming the Ordinary Into The Extraordinary,” offers great insight into how we can define what bliss means to us, and how to go about creating the existence that you want. Through her experiences and challenges, Edie has helped so many people in every aspect of their lives.

We looked at what we learn from all of our experiences, both good and bad, how important it is to set an intention for each day that acts as our “compass”, and why resistance will always make the bumps in the road, that we all go through, more difficult. Moving through experiences with flexibility and grace helps any process. Edie reminded us that we have survived everything that has ever happened to us in our lives, and we will continue to thrive, no matter what. Other subjects we touched on were strategies for coping with strife, which include seeing miracles in everyday life, seeking support, and offering service to others.

Bliss starts by saying to yourself what you DO want in your life, not what you don’t want. A positive affirmation can go a long way in opening your mind up to all the possibilities available to you. Be sure to keep your mind sharp and look for all the insight, love and compassion that surround you.
